Brake Pop

You invite me to your show to watch you dance
Toes pointed, hands outstretched, acrobat
Club dancin’,  after show, sweet romance
Vain attempt, can’t be fooled with scant

Blind date, weeks ago
Took too long to know
Pop the collar hit the brakes
Just what are you sayin’?

Late night, get close, thermostat
But girl, it’s over, just like that
Cuz baby
Your body’s a temple I don’t worship at

Young Adult Fiction and Fantasy writer. Lover of adventure and fantasy. Would prefer to be a bard if only he could carry a tune but if you run across him in a strange land you will most likely find him singing to himself as he works.
