Country Construction Site

I was sittin’ up high, on my excavator
When along came my girl, sayin’ see you later
I spun the bucket, and I scratched my head
With my earbuds in, I didn’t hear what she said

The very next day, I fired up the crane
It was a hot day, to be layin’ pipe in the drain
And about half past ten, my girl came around
Wavin’ goodbye, she came back for my hound

I smiled as she left, she stomped right past
I didn’t see her kick, a bucket full of gas
I might be slow, to see it comin’
When the tractor exploded, I left duck huntin’

I called for my hound, and looked for my girl
I hung my rifle up, and gave the loader a whirl
As I filled in the ditch, she showed up in bunch
She said sorry for the fire, and she had made me lunch

It really made her mad, but then she laughed real hard
She said all I cared for, was construction and cars
We had a real good talk, she invited me out with a whisper
And that night she got bent, when I drove up in a cement mixer
