Before the Arc

The Blessed Hope Nathan Greene.png

Expect another year of disparity
We’re slaves to government charity
Leaders treat you like you don’t matter
Elitist ears weary of chatter
It’s not like it’s an election year
They’ll inflate people with greed and fear

In a race to separate ethnicities
They encourage destruction of our cities
Reading a script, pretend to hold committee
“I’d like to help but my fingers are sticky.”
We shouldn’t expect to understand their cause
They will make baseless mandates, calling them laws

Friend, you’re conditions, they may worsen externally
I don’t mean to worry you, hurting internally
There is some urgency, in a moment I may leave
I believe in Jesus who I’d like you to receive
My savior offers peace within on this broken earth
Need a restart? Jesus offers spiritual rebirth

It will get worse
But it can get so much better
You’re not heavy
Cuz you’re my brother, my sister, my mother

Matt Antis creates online as a freelance writer and novelist who formerly lived as a serial small-business entrepreneur. His life’s goal is to share knowledge, encourage, and challenge others through a coach-student relationship.

An unexpected deployment with the Army in 2009 halted his scholastic achievement, but! He learned the bulk of business in the proverbial trench elbow to elbow with a team of professionals who he is forever grateful for.

When he’s not being a husband, dad, shooting his bow or training parkour, you can find him teaching Sunday school, advising parkour gyms, writing for inkjotkingdom.com and his wife’s children’s book website, whitneyantis.com.
