Messenger of War

Don’t gaze too slow at the towering stronghold
Focus on the goal down the rolling long road
While the answer soars higher than the ramparts
This message is only for the cast down heart

Now ride with all the furious stealth and speed
Don’t get distracted by looters in the field
The message you carry, though lighter than summer air
Will fall heavy on the hearts of those prepared

To arms! We’ve been occupied long enough
Plan requires you riding tall, not talking tough
Don’t be distracted by riches, power or lust
They’ll offer exotic comforts to keep you dormant

Sharpen your iron, prepare your shield
Grab hooks to pull walls, this land we’ll heal
Gather the humble masses, feed the weakened crowds
Assemble the ranks to march to the fighting grounds

We’re going to war!

An unexpected deployment with the Army in 2009 halted his scholastic achievement, but! He learned the bulk of business in the proverbial trench elbow to elbow with a team of professionals who he is forever grateful for.

When he’s not being a husband, dad, shooting his bow or training parkour, you can find him teaching Sunday school, advising parkour gyms, writing for inkjotkingdom.com and his wife’s children’s book website, whitneyantis.com.
