Reprise

In twenty-twenty they had us chanting unprecedented
The media getting us ready for un-presidented
How many changes can we expect in twenty-twenty-one?
Will safety or freedom ring louder? Lost‘n pandemonium

This ringing in my ears has me writing nervously for fear
Not for my sake, but for yours, it’s your freedom they’ll commandeer
My advice is remit your sad vices, before you’re sold under market prices
Soul exchanged in rage, control for a prescribed life, starts with small sacrifices

Sides spittin’ white lies ‘stead of raisin’ white flags, and we wonder why compromise is on the rise?
Paralyzed fence sitter, callous heart demoralized, only makes you last to be ostracized
But how can one take a side while living in fear of perpetuating agenda spewn lies?
I reprise, repent with outstretched arms and closed eyes to the Lord who never dies

Matt Antis creates online as a freelance writer and novelist who formerly lived as a serial small-business entrepreneur. His life’s goal is to share knowledge, encourage, and challenge others through a coach-student relationship.

An unexpected deployment with the Army in 2009 halted his scholastic achievement, but! He learned the bulk of business in the proverbial trench elbow to elbow with a team of professionals who he is forever grateful for.

When he’s not being a husband, dad, shooting his bow or training parkour, you can find him teaching Sunday school, advising parkour gyms, writing for inkjotkingdom.com and his wife’s children’s book website, whitneyantis.com.
