Imperfect thoughts coupled with rusty tools
I had hoped for perfection, neglecting the fool
Who lives within me yelling to close shop
And the firm voice whispering, “Don’t stop.”
Wrestling with Addiction
How long will this deep soul battle go on?
And the moment you declare the Lord’s generosity
The shimmering light of hope reflects off a jagged corner of my fractured soul
Step aside young soul, and watch the Lord uproot the monstrosity

This one goes out to those dealing with pain and the frustration that accompanies pain. You’re not alone. Ten out of ten people die, it’s true. Don’t cut it short. Do something, even while in pain.

Don’t know ‘bout radio activity
Why they carve wisemen on the nativity?
Not sure about empathy; I’ve got no pity
Not sure about mayonnaise
Or cashin’ in when I turn a phrase
But you’ll find me six feet under at the end of this maze
