In the series: Dark Night of the Soul - Part 3
Just because I write my shouts
Doesn’t mean you’ll figure me out
Just because I conjure an illicit view
My sins are only on exhibit to a few
Wrestling with Addiction
How long will this deep soul battle go on?
And the moment you declare the Lord’s generosity
The shimmering light of hope reflects off a jagged corner of my fractured soul
Step aside young soul, and watch the Lord uproot the monstrosity
Searching Waves
Don’t know ‘bout radio activity
Why they carve wisemen on the nativity?
Not sure about empathy; I’ve got no pity
Not sure about mayonnaise
Or cashin’ in when I turn a phrase
But you’ll find me six feet under at the end of this maze
